Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté green bell pepper and onion in olive oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of a greased loaf pan.
  5. Layer 4 slices of provolone cheese over the meat mixture, then add sautéed peppers and onions.
  6. Seal with the remaining meat mixture on top, smoothing the surface.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until cooked through.
  8. In the last 5 minutes, add the remaining provolone cheese on top and bake until melted.
  9. Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  10. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
