Step-by-Step Instructions for Peppermint Sugar Cookie Bites
  1. Prepare the Cookie Base by making a half-batch of The Best Sugar Cookie Dough and add 1 ½ teaspoons of peppermint extract. Mix until smooth.
  2. Shape the Cookies by rolling out the dough to ¼ inch thickness and cutting out circles with a biscuit cutter.
  3. Bake the Cookies at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes until edges are just golden. Let cool on a wire rack.
  4. Cool Completely on the wire rack to prevent frosting from melting. This takes about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Make the Frosting by combining softened butter, powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and milk. Beat until creamy.
  6. Frost the Cookies by piping peppermint frosting onto each cooled cookie.
  7. Add the Finishing Touch by sprinkling crushed candy canes on frosted cookies while frosting is soft.
