  • 1 medium Yellow Onion finely diced
  • 1 cup Fine Bread Crumbs fresh preferred
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk 2% or whole
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper freshly ground
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup or BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar or honey/maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard or Dijon mustard

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, diced onion, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Pour milk and beaten eggs over the mixture. Let the breadcrumbs soak for about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the mixture and gently combine.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and transfer to the prepared pan.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Pour over the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 55 to 70 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
