Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and add marinara sauce. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; boil traditional noodles for about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to create a creamy cheese mixture.
  5. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with noodles topped with meat sauce and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
