- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat and add marinara sauce. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; boil traditional noodles for about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to create a creamy cheese mixture.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella. Repeat layers and finish with noodles topped with meat sauce and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
