  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened or dairy-free for vegan
For the Layers
  • 3 tablespoons guacamole store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives optional
  • 1 cup sliced tomatoes can use pico de gallo
  • 1 slice sliced jalapeños can substitute with sweet bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese or dairy-free cheese for vegan
For Serving
  • 1 bag nachos or tortilla chips baked chips recommended

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine refried beans with softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour to enhance flavor (optional).
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the bean mixture into small cups or bowls as a base.
  4. Add approximately 3 tablespoons of guacamole on top of the bean layer.
  5. Dollop around 2 tablespoons of sour cream over the guacamole layer.
  6. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, followed by sliced black olives, diced tomatoes, and jalapeño.
  7. Garnish with a few nacho or tortilla chips placed around the top of each cup.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
