Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage along with 1 chopped onion over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add 2 minced garlic cloves, season with salt, pepper, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and basil. Stir for 1 minute and then pour in 1 cup of marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with ½ cup of sour cream. Mix until smooth, then fold in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and ½ cup of grated Parmesan.
  5. Layer the creamy cheese mixture in a 9x9-inch baking dish followed by the meat and marinara mixture. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake the dip in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
