Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
  2. Once the ground beef is cooked through, lower the heat slightly and stir in soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Allow the mixture to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  3. While the beef is cooking, rinse 1 cup of rice thoroughly under cold water, then cook according to the package instructions, usually boiling in water for about 15 minutes.
  4. Once the beef mixture is ready and the rice is fluffy, assemble the bowls by taking a scoop of rice and topping it with a generous portion of the savory Korean beef.
  5. Finish off your bowls by adding your favorite toppings like kimchi, sautéed vegetables, or a fried egg.
