Cooking Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
- Once the ground beef is cooked through, lower the heat slightly and stir in soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Allow the mixture to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- While the beef is cooking, rinse 1 cup of rice thoroughly under cold water, then cook according to the package instructions, usually boiling in water for about 15 minutes.
- Once the beef mixture is ready and the rice is fluffy, assemble the bowls by taking a scoop of rice and topping it with a generous portion of the savory Korean beef.
- Finish off your bowls by adding your favorite toppings like kimchi, sautéed vegetables, or a fried egg.
