Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash 3-4 very ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add melted unsalted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and optional cinnamon, then fold into the banana mixture.
  5. If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes.
  7. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
