Secret Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce Adjust according to spice tolerance
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions
  1. Caramelize the Onions: Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the Secret Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Cook the Beef Patties: Form ground beef into four patties, season with salt and pepper. Cook in a heated skillet with butter for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread secret sauce on rye bread slices, layer with Swiss cheese, beef patty, caramelized onions, and another slice of cheese. Close and press down.
  5. Grill the Patty Melts: Grill the assembled sandwiches in a skillet with butter for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
