Cookie Preparation
- Prepare sugar cookie dough and roll it on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Cut the rolled-out dough into bite-sized pieces and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cookies for 4-5 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Frosting and Topping
- Make the buttercream frosting and divide it into three bowls. Tint two bowls with food coloring.
- Frost cooled cookie bites with the colored buttercream using a piping bag or spatula.
- Sprinkle nonpareils on top of the frosted bites for a festive touch.
- Allow the frosted cookies to sit at room temperature to let the frosting set.
