Method
 

Cookie Preparation
  1. Prepare sugar cookie dough and roll it on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  2. Cut the rolled-out dough into bite-sized pieces and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cookies for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Frosting and Topping
  1. Make the buttercream frosting and divide it into three bowls. Tint two bowls with food coloring.
  2. Frost cooled cookie bites with the colored buttercream using a piping bag or spatula.
  3. Sprinkle nonpareils on top of the frosted bites for a festive touch.
