Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and brown sugar, stirring until it reaches a full boil.
  3. Carefully pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltine crackers and spread it evenly. Bake for 8-9 minutes until it bubbles and turns golden.
  4. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Spread the melted chocolate evenly.
  5. Add festive toppings while the chocolate is still melted. Cool at room temperature for 20 minutes, then refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Once set, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
