Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by gathering your favorite dippers for the Chocolate Fondue Recipe. Wash and cut fresh fruits like strawberries and bananas into bite-sized pieces. If you’re including cake cubes, slice sponge or angel food cake into cubes, and arrange marshmallows and cookies on a platter.
- In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, break your chosen high-quality chocolate into smaller pieces for even melting. If using a double boiler, fill the bottom pot with water, bring to a simmer, and place the chocolate in the top. Stir continuously for about 5–7 minutes until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If using the microwave, melt in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, for about 1–2 minutes total.
- Once your chocolate is silky and smooth, carefully pour it into a fondue pot or heatproof serving dish. If you're using a fondue pot, keep it on low heat to maintain warmth.
- Use skewers or forks to dip your prepared treats into the warm chocolate. Encourage everyone to try different combinations.
