Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and unsalted butter. Add the sliced onions with kosher salt and sugar. Caramelize for 20-25 minutes, adding garlic and thyme in the last minute.
  3. Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and pat dry with a towel.
