Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by slicing the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Arrange them in a single layer on a large cutting board.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg until well-combined.
  3. Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of unsalted butter.
  4. Carefully dip each half of the sliced rolls into the custard mixture, then place them on the griddle.
  5. Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side, flipping gently with a spatula.
