Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the oven rack in the middle.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine a can of condensed cream of chicken soup, 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of sour cream. Add in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and pepper. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add a layer of diced Russet potatoes in a single, even layer at the bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Then, sprinkle the diced cooked ham evenly over the potatoes.
- Pour the creamy sauce mixture over the potatoes and ham. Use a spatula to gently stir the ingredients to ensure even coating.
- Cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return the casserole to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let the casserole rest for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
