- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat for about 2 minutes until fully melted.
- Add the mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously over low heat for 3-4 minutes until fully melted.
- Remove from heat and mix in several drops of food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Gently fold in the Kellogg's Rice Krispies Cereal until evenly coated.
- Allow mixture to cool for about 5 minutes.
- Roll about 0.6 ounces of the mixture into balls; repeat until all mixture is formed.
- For variations, repeat with different colors.
- Place bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
