Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs (or chicken tenders) substitute with chicken breasts if desired
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour substitute with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt sea salt works as a substitute
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper adjust according to preference
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder fresh minced garlic can be used for bolder taste
For Frying
  • ½ cup olive oil (or canola/vegetable oil) extra virgin olive oil is recommended
For the Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter avoid margarine or coconut oil
  • ¼ cup honey essential for the dish
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic fresh is recommended
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk until evenly blended.
  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and toss each piece in the flour mixture until fully coated.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until shimmering.
  4. Fry the chicken for approximately 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  6. Return the fried chicken to the skillet and toss gently in the honey butter sauce.
  7. Serve immediately on a platter.
