Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your baking tools, including a mixing bowl, whisk, and a 9-inch round baking pan.
- Lightly grease the 9-inch round baking pan with unsalted butter or cooking spray. Line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Peel, core, and slice three to four firm and ripe pears into even pieces. Arrange in a single layer at the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a blender, combine the melted butter, room-temperature eggs, milk, kosher salt, sugar, flour, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the custard batter over the arranged pear slices in the baking pan, ensuring an even coating.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes. The top should be golden brown and the center should jiggle slightly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, with powdered sugar or vanilla ice cream.

Notes
Choose pears that are ripe but firm to avoid a watery custard. Arrange pear slices in a single layer for even baking.
