  • 1 package Instant Pudding Mix Opt for vanilla or French vanilla.
Creamy Filling
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Ensure it's softened.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip Can be swapped with homemade whipped cream.
Layers
  • 1 package Vanilla Wafers Use both whole and crushed.
  • 2 ripe Bananas Look for fully ripe, speckled bananas.
  • Chessman Cookies Optional for added crunch.
  • Caramel Sauce Optional for a drizzle.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cold milk and instant pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thickened. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk and cream cheese until smooth. Add vanilla extract and gently fold in Cool Whip.
  3. Layer one-third of whole vanilla wafers in a 9x13 inch dish, top with half of crushed cookies and one-third of pudding mixture. Spread evenly.
  4. Slice ripe bananas and layer half over the pudding. Add remaining whole wafers on top before repeating layers.
  5. Repeat with the remaining pudding mixture, banana slices, and crushed cookies, finishing with a final layer of pudding.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  7. Before serving, top with additional whole vanilla wafers and optional Chessman cookies. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
