  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped optional

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until nicely browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add uncooked rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add milk, shredded cheddar, and grated Parmesan. Stir until smooth.
  7. Pour the cheese sauce into the skillet with the beef and rice mixture. Stir until well combined.
  8. Remove from heat, spoon into serving dishes, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
