Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, ketchup, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the baking dish and shape it into a flat layer.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. Mix the mashed potatoes, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese until creamy.
  6. Spread the mashed potato mixture over the baked meatloaf layer.
  7. Sprinkle bacon bits and chopped green onions over the mashed potatoes.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  9. Broil for 2-3 minutes to achieve a crispy top.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
