Baked Apples Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and peel the apples, then slice them evenly.
- Pat the slices dry, squeeze lemon juice over them, and toss gently.
- Mix brown sugar, ground cinnamon, allspice, and corn starch in a bowl.
- Drizzle vanilla extract over the apple slices and coat them with the sugar mixture.
- Transfer coated apples to a baking dish and dot with butter.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Check tenderness after 45 minutes; bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes if needed.
- Prepare the Cinnamon Whipped Cream by whipping heavy cream and cinnamon together.
